BRAMPTON, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's basketball team announced today the first commitment in their 2017-18 recruiting class, with the addition of guard Sydney Charvis.
"Sydney is a quick point guard that can score off penetration or from the outside," head coach Willie Delas said. "She has natural leadership qualities and will be looked upon to contribute immediately on and off the court. She is a great floor general that leads by example and pushes her teammates to be better."
"I chose Sheridan because of the social aspect of it," added Charvis. "I'm a very social person, I love basketball and I love to re-build, so this is what I'm here for."
The 5'7" Mississauga native is a two-time MVP for her Our Lady of Mount Carmel team and was most recently a member of GTA West in JUEL.
Charvis has accepted an offer into the Business Administration Marketing program at the Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga.
