Women's basketball continue adding to 2017-18 roster

BRAMPTON, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's basketball team continue adding to their 2017-18 roster, announcing today the commitment of centre Elesha Patterson.

"Elesha is a 6'2" centre and forward that will be looked upon as a presence in the paint," head coach Willie Delas said. "She can score inside, but also has the versatility to step out and knock down mid-range jumpers if need be. She runs the floor really well and will contribute at the defensive end by blocking or changing shots and will definitely be a big help with the rebounding problem we had last season."

"I'm excited to be a member of the Bruins," added Patterson. "Not only do they have a tremendous repuation for their athletic teams, but their arts programs are known throughout the world."

The Brampton native is a graduate of David Suzuki Secondary School and has played for GTA West in JUEL and the Mississauga Monarchs.

She has accepted an offer to the Art Fundamentals program at the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville.
